Vision Statement

To provide educational programs which promote positive characteristics for personal, academic, and social levels;

At the Adult Education Centre, every effort is made to accomodate the needs of students who may have been out of school for a period of time. Centre staff work with students with special needs to overcome and achieve.

Full and Part-Time Student Requirements

Full-time students are expected to be in class for a minimum of 25 hours per week. Both full and part-time students must sign in and out for classroom attendence. All students must follow Student Policies.

Student Rights

  • To select courses of study that are suitable and consistent with your abilities
  • To enjoy a safe and substance free environment
  • To receive fair and consitent treatment from school staff.
  • To receive extra help from staff when you require and request it.
  • To learn in a co-operative and quiet environment.
  • To have access to up-to-date computers for use in your assignments.

Students Responsibilities

  • To be in class each day if you are a full-time student.
  • To be punctual and inform staff if you are going to be absent.
  • To keep up-to-date studies and catch up on missed work.
  • To complete assignments and hand them in when they are due.
  • To complete test and exams on the scheduled day.
  • To be free from drugs and alcohol on school property or placement.
  • To respect staff, other students and their belongings.
  • To consult with staff before withdrawing from school or a course.
  • To return all books upon completion of a course or withdrawal.

  • An Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) upon completion of Grade 12.

The Adult Learning Centre is open: Mon-Fri 9:00am-3:30pm

Lunch on Every Second Thursday: 12:00pm-1:00pm
