Organizational Chart

You will find in this edition of the most recently updated Organizational Chart. This chart is a reflection of the current reporting relationship in the organization. This chart is a reflection of the current reporting relationship in the organization. This chart is posted at the Band Office in the main foyer. Here is the most recent Organizational Chart.

Job Analysis

All positions are currently undergoing a Job Analysis that will assist the organization to develop up-to-date comprehensive job descriptions. This project involves input from the employee, supervisor and Human Resources and will involve one-to-one meetings with all staff. Up-to-date job descriptions will assist employees and supervisors to identify the specific responsibilities and duties in their position.

Web Page

A joint effort with the Web Designer, Librarian and Human Resources is underway to develop a web page for Human Resources. The Organizational Chart will be posted on this link along with the Personnel Policies and an area for the staff to obtain internal forms and to increase communication with all employees. Thank you to Clifford and Cal for their assistance with this project.

Naadmaadwiiuk Program

The AHRDA (Aboriginal Human Resources Development Agreement) ended September 30, 2010 and a new agreement came into effect October 1, 2010. It is called ASETS (Aboriginal Skills and Employment Strategy). Unfortunately there is no increase in funding under this agreement however the following elements are the major changes to the program:

1. Accountability in all area (ie. Tracking attendance, etc.)

2. Long Term Demand Driven Skills Sets (ie. Local Labour Market Information-LMI such as lands management pre-health, environment, Hydro development, etc.)

3. Training that will sustain long term employment (ie. ECE, aprenticeships) as opposed to short term trainig

4. Partnership Development

The NSTC Program Unit is working hard to ensure a successful implementation of this new initiative and keeping Mississauga First Nation informed of the new changes.
