Students who will be continuing for September 2011 are to make sure their application forms are filled out and sent to the MFN Education Department By JUNE 15, 2011. If not recieved by this date, you will be placed on the waiting list. Please visit the MFN Education Departmet website for the forms.
Graduating Students, please inform MFN Education Department of your graduation date.

Are you struggling with peer pressure, angry all the time, lack of self-esteem and self-confidence. Then this is an eight week program that is designed to help you cope with these emotions! In partnership with the MFN Education Department, Health and Social Services Unit and W.C. Eaket. This will help make healthy lifestyle choices.
Start: May 3, 2011 Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 pm. at the Miigiim Centre, on Sawmill Road

Enjikendaasang Learning Centre - U.P.P. Online

Upgrading for Parents with Preschoolers - Come out and participate in this free program provide by the Enjikendaasang Learning Centre.
We will be discussing parenting issues, learning about how your child develops and learns, improving your skills in (literacy, math and computers). Find out how you can help your child become school ready and gain confidence in your role as your childs first teacher.
U.P.P. Online is 5 hours/week. Students will spend 1 hour Monday and Wednesday mornings with an online teacher and 3 hours at the Learning Centre doing activities online other times during the week.
Nutritional Box Program

The Nutritional Box Program aims to provide pregnant women and families with children 0 to 6yrs with fresh fruits and vegetables once a month.
The program will follow the Canada Food Guide and encourages families to provide proper nutrition; it will incorporate recipes to help families and new moms to cook with fruits and vegetables.

Ontario Native Women's Association - Emerging Sector Training Project is a provincial initiative and is only available until March 31, 2011. Drop-in or call (705-356-1621 Ext: 2351) the Niigaaniin Office for more information.
Northen Ontario Energy Credit: Have you filed for the Northen Ontario Energy Credit? The deadline for the 2010 credit is June 30th, 2011. Application can be picked up at the Niigaaniin Office. You can also apply online N.O.E.C. Application.

Honours Musician, Roger Daybutch

This past saturday, at the Lester B. Pearson Theatre in Elliot Lake, The Great North Opry hosted a Show 'n' Celebration to honour one of our community members. Roger Daybutch will become the 67th inductee into The Great Northern Opry. The induction will become official at The Annual Northern Ontario Counrty Music Awards, September 17, 2011, in Sault Ste. Marie.
