The Chi-Naakinagewin Department is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering Mississauga legal development projects.
The department also oversees restorative justice through the Debaakinagewin Enagadoot, works with the Wiindamaagewin Enagaadoot to share information from all departments both internally and externally.
The Mississaugi Nation Coordinator Liaison ensures that Mississauga First Nation remains aligned with the values and vision of the Mississaugi Nation.

Community Safe Law
Enacted on May 28th, 2019. Mississauga First Nation deems it advisable and in the best interests of Mississauga First Nation to enact a Law to provide for the protection of the community, children, and vulnerable individuals on Mississauga Lands from violent crime, exposure to illegal drugs, and sexual exploitation and abuse. Waste Management
Enacted on July 1st, 2019. Mississauga First Nation members have voiced their environmental concerns with the past landfill site, contamination from the landfill site, and the practices related to operating, maintaining, and using the waste management depot. More content to the law includes:
Community Approval Law
Enacted on July 1st, 2019. The purpose of this law is to consolidate community decision-making processes. Any reference to ratification procedures in any law, by-law, act, agreement, policy, or proposal will be superseded by the Community Approval Law. More content to the law includes:
Noise Control
Enacted January 6th, 2019. Considered to be expedient and necessary for the benefit, comfort, and safety of the inhabitants of the Mississauga First Nation to provide for the prevention of noise on the reserve. More content to the law includes:
Business Licensing Law
Enaacted July 1st, 2019. The Business License Law was developed to record and regulate businesses in Mississauga First Nation. Council wishes to implement a business permitting system to track and regulate the conduct of businesses within the community. More content to the law includes:
