Join us in celebration at the Mississauga First Nation Powwow! Everyone is welcome to experience a vibrant gathering of culture, tradition, and community spirit. Enjoy traditional dancing, drumming, singing, and local artisans. Come connect with old friends and make new ones as we honour our ancestors and celebrate our living traditions. Pow Wow F.A.Q
Location
The MFN pow wow grounds are located on Maxs Road, within the Mississauga First Nation territory (near Blind River, Ontario) off of Highway 557. Signage will be posted along major routes to help guide visitors to the event. Please refer to the above map for the exact location.
Admission
Admission is free for all attendees, and everyone is welcome! We encourage individuals from all communities to join us in celebrating and supporting our culture.
Parking
Parking is free! Visitors are asked to follow signage and the instructions of staff indicating where they are to park. Do not drive through the vendor alley unless advised to do so by staff. Special accommodations will be made for elders and those requiring more accessible options.
Camping
Camping is permitted in designated areas. Signage will be posted indicating where individuals may camp or park an RV.
Camping spots do not have electricity, plan accordingly.
Please note that fire bans may happen, all guests will need to adhere to any restrictions that may be in place.
Amenities
Portable toilets will be placed on the grounds during the pow wow weekend.
Our grounds are located on a beautiful body of water where swimming is permitted, though this area is not monitored by staff or volunteers and individuals are responsible for their own safety.
Showers will be available for individuals at our Sports Complex (43 Park Road) during the following hours: Saturday 6am - 1am & 6pm - 9pm Sunday 6am- 10am
Seating & Shade
There are benches located around the outside of the arbor area, but shade and seating are limited. We encourage visitors to bring seating and their own forms of shade.
Food & Water
Vendors will be selling food and beverages throughout the day. Water stations or bottled water will be available, and we recommend that you bring a reusable water bottle, dishes, and cutlery.

Our community feast is held at 5PM Saturday.
Shopping
Vendors selling many different types of goods will be set up for the duration of the pow wow. Please make sure to bring cash, as most vendors will not be able to accept debit or credit.
