Candidate Acceptance

It is your responsibility to confirm your acceptance of your nomination. This will require you to complete the form enclosed in the nomination package and provide it to the Electoral Officer. This can be scanned and e-mailed to scott.jacobs@sympatico.ca. In your e-mail of acceptance, please let the Electoral Officer know how you would like your name to appear on the ballot. This will be done by surname first and then given names.

You must also submit a non-refundable deposit of $100.00. This must be in the form of certified cheque, money order, or cash to Mississauga First Nation. This is to be completed at the Front Desk of the Band Office.

For your name to stand on the ballot, all of this must be done by Wednesday, September 29th, 2021 by 4:30pm. Failure to submit either the acceptance form or the non-refundable deposit will result in your name being left off the ballot.

Candidate packages have been left at the administration office, if they have not been picked up at the nomination meeting. Should you have any questions regarding the acceptance or the requirements, contact Scott Jacobs, Electoral Officer at 705-741-3773 or 705-875-6650 as soon as possible.

Thank you,
