TRESPASSERS
The Mississauga First Nation Community Protection Law is enacted to safeguard the well-being of the Mississauga First Nation community by preventing violent crime, exposure to illegal drugs, and sexual exploitation and abuse. It establishes rules for land access, defines trespassing offenses, grants authority to the Council to regulate land use, outlines penalties for violations, and ensures the preservation of civil actions for damages. The law aims to maintain a secure and harmonious community environment while upholding the rights and responsibilities of individuals and the Council within the Mississauga First Nation.
If you are a Band Member, please contact the Executive Assistant for the most up to date list of individuals who have active Band Council Resolutions revoking their rights to attend Mississauga First Nation lands and territories.
Mississauga is currently investigating its right to inform Band Members by means of photographs on the Mississaugi website and social media platforms of individuals who have had their right to attend Mississauga First Nation revoked.
